THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. As in 2 Timothy 3:16: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”. Therefore all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible.
THE ONE TRUE GOD
We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, holy in nature, and possessing absolute, indivisible deity.

As stated in Deuteronomy 6:4 and Mark 12:29: “The first of all the commandments is, hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord”. Not only is it correct to say that there is “one Lord”, it’s also commanded for us to believe it.
THE NAME OF GOD
In the Old Testament God used different titles, such as ”God Elohim”, “El Shaddai”, “Jehovah”, and especially “Jehovah Lord”, the redemptive name in the Old Testament. In the New Testament a new name, which surpasses but also encompasses the names and titles in the Old Testament, is given: Jesus!

The name of Jesus means “Jehovah is Salvation”, or simply “Jehovah Saves”.

Isaiah’s prophecy “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) was fulfilled when Jesus was named: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His People from their sins” (Matt. 1:21).

As Paul wrote: “in Him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Col. 2:9), and as Peter and John testified: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
